Welcome to Ebdons Refreshments!
We hope you will join us in central Exeter’s only delicatessen and café bar.
Through our small but growing delicatessen we offer a range of cheeses, charcuterie, homemade seasonal salads, breads, sweet treats and other carefully selected fresh and preserved goods which we will source primarily from Westcountry suppliers, complemented by a selection of exciting produce from slightly further afield.
You can buy all of our deli foods to take away and enjoy at home, or you can enjoy meat and/or cheese platters, homemade salads, soups and stews, or simply a lump of cheese and a slice of bread in our friendly café and bar. There are vegan, veggie and meaty options, and we make a mean brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, with week-day breakfasts coming very soon!
We serve great coffee, roasted locally by Voyager, to accompany tasty cakes from the Sarnia Banana Bakery in Bristol and Cocorico here in Exeter and we also have a great range of carefully chosen wines, beers and craft ales which can be enjoyed with or without food.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ebdons very soon!
Every other Wednesday Ebdons will host an eclectic and original quiz - £1 per person entry – prizes include free drinks, it's easy.

Following in some impressive footsteps
The original Ebdons Refreshments was owned by one of Poppy’s ancestors during the last century. Before and after that, Ebdons across Devon and beyond have been involved in food, drink and hospitality, with a legacy which involved inns, butchers and farms. One of these ventures still survives today in North Devon and which will be supplying organic vegetables to Ebdons Refreshments in Exeter.
When we were looking for inspiration for the identity of our business, we needed not to look further than to follow in the Ebdon footsteps and are proud to be bearing the name of so many brilliant Devon people.

Passionate about the Westcountry
We are proud Exeter people! We were born and bred in the city and grew up enjoying all the beautiful moorland, coastline and culture that Devon has to offer. We have both moved around in the UK and abroad over the past twenty years, before meeting and settling together back in Exeter in 2012. We’ve been planning Ebdons Refreshments ever since. Our aim is to combine the supply of the best informal food we can find with great drinks in the kind of relaxed and comfortable setting you most often see in Europe.
